Psychotherapist Intern
Desiree is currently earning her Master’s of Social Work degree from Arizona State University. She graduated from San Diego State University with her Bachelor’s of Social Work and has over 5 years experience working in the Mental Health field. She is bi-cultural with Palestinian and Mexican roots and is a San Diego native. Since graduating, Desiree has made it her mission to help and educate others so they may better navigate the mental health resources that are available to them. Desiree has worked at local community hospitals and serviced clients in the Emergency Department, inpatient psychiatric units, and outpatient group therapy settings. Within the hospital, Desiree has helped patients navigate mental health resources, assisted in treatment care planning, provided crisis counseling, and facilitated patient admissions and discharges. After graduation, Desiree plans to continue helping others in the mental health field and work toward obtaining her licensure. When she is not studying or working, she enjoys spending time with her English Bulldog, is an avid concert go-er, and loves to travel with her fiancé. Desiree is supervised by Brittani Williams, LCSW and offers therapy in-person and virtual at a slide scale affordable rate.
